About Us
Our stables started in the 1980’s as a farm diversification at Church Farm, Stanton St Bernard, and continues this association today. As the yard progressed through the 80’s and 90’s the stables gradually grew to be the largest Riding Centre in Wiltshire. Unfortunately in May 2019 we took the decision to cease riding lessons and hacks to continue and focus on our livery yard.
The association with the farm allows exclusive hacking across the farms 2000 acres which edges onto the Marlborough down land. The area is designated an area of outstanding natural beauty (AONB). We also have access to a variety of local bridleways including the Ridgeway, we pride our selves on this direct access to a wide area of beautiful countryside with little to no road work necessary.
The spectacular scenery can offer views of several Iron Age Hill Top Settlements, Silbury Hill, West Kennet Long Barrow, The Wansdyke and Alton Barns White Horse.
Our staff are trained and experienced to help with any needs you may require. The staff have a large skill set and will endeavour to help in anyway possible to make your stay enjoyable and help you progress in your riding.
The business continues to be owned by the founding family, the Reads, who take an active interest in the business.
